Apia, SAMOA – Saturday 28 September 2019 – nbs, the National Bank of Samoa, has developed a formal partnership with Samoa International Cricket Association to encourage more Samoan kids to participate in Cricket and be part of one of the fastest growing sports in the country.
nbs is partnering with Samoa Cricket for one of the bank’s community engagement programs aimed at school children, to encourage kids to participate in sporting activities, support them to increase their fitness levels and will provide an nbs mobile customer service team during the tournaments to encourage parents and older children to learn about financial fitness.
Over 200 children will attend this Saturday’s tournament, from children as young as 5 years old attending the Super Kidz Super Hit Program, as well as 120 boys and girls competing in the U17s competition.
“Samoa Cricket is pleased to partner with our local bank to ensure our junior players are supported at grass roots levels, through to young players who compete in tournaments,” states Salā Stella Siale-Vaea Tangitau, General Manager of Samoa International Cricket. “Its great to have our junior players backed by our national bank.”
