Die-hard fans of Tofiga Fepuleai’s comedy hits had every reason to be excited whilst eagerly awaiting the arrival of the cast and crew on Tuesday evening.
Take Home Pay‘s debut in Samoa to a jam-packed Apollo Cinema swarmed with a lot of distinguished guests as well as keen followers; all eager to catch the premiere of the action-packed comedy.
The key sponsors; Samoa Stationery & Books (SSAB) and Digicel wowed and spoiled the crowds with their scrumptiously delicious hors d’oeuvre cocktail selection and local beverages.
Distinguished guests from across public and private sector came dressed in their finest.
The Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Afamasaga Rico Tupa’i, spoke on behalf of the Government of Samoa, and commended the team on their production.
The action-packed comedy accentuates the family values that are integral to maintaining a ‘beautiful Samoa’ besides depicting the story of aspiring private investigator, Bob Titilo (Tofiga Fepulea’i) who helps Alama (Vito Vito) to find his brother Popo (Longi Taulafo) — who has run away with Alama’s money, which was earned from their seasonal work jobs that landed them in New Zealand for the first time ever.
Bob’s unconventional methods take the pair on a wild goose chase, leaving the chances of recovering the money less and less likely.
There surely is laughter-galore right throughout the movie, generously seasoned with typically ‘Tofiga’ one-liners . A must watch!
